As I mentioned in a recent post, I had shingles over the Christmas and New Year period, and each day I took a picture of how the rash was progressing, hence this post is only a quick follow-up, so that you can appreciate the true horror just that little bit more! (Surprisingly, I did actually get some requests for these!)
Note: For all of the pictures, you can click on them to see the full-size version, i.e. only the thumbnails are in this post; Some of the pictures are a bit blurry at full-size, but that's mostly because taking them involved a bit of a contortionist act.
I only started taking a picture each day on what I am referring to as day six, where day one is when I first started to notice some discomfort and slight redness in the location where the following cluster of blisters (about 3cm by 5cm) eventually formed:
Day 06
Day 07
Day 08
Day 09
Day 10
Day 11
Day 12
Day 13
Day 14
Day 15
Day 16
Day 17
Day 18
Day 19
Day 20
Day 21
Day 22
Day 23
Day 24
Day 25
It was about day three, using the same start date as above, when the following area of blisters (about 10cm by 15cm) started to appear - Initially there were just one or two, but the rest soon appeared in the next couple of days or so:
Day 06
Day 07
Day 08
Day 09
Day 10
Day 11
Day 12
Day 13
Day 14
Day 15
Day 16
Day 17
Day 18
Day 19
Day 20
Day 21
Day 22
Day 23
Day 24
Day 25
Unfortunately, there were numerous more blisters scattered around, in addition to another couple of clusters of blisters, but most of those were in places where you really wouldn't want me to take pictures, so luckily for everyone I stopped there!
